| Frequently Asked Questions How long should my sales letter be? To make things simple, your sales letter should be as long as it takes to sell your product or service. Going into more detail, your sales letter should coincide with the price of your product or service, the complexity of the concept, the familiarity of your target audience, etc. If your product or service is less than $50, a product that your target audience is pretty familiar with, then I suggest a shorter sales page. If your product or service is $100 or more, fairly new to the market, and your target market isn’t that familiar with the concept, I suggest packing the letter with information and explaining everything about the concept – answer questions, address concerns, and overcome rejection. (Of course, length of sales letters depends on many factors. A product that a target market is very familiar with could mean that the product is in a saturated market and you may need to extend your sales letter to convince a prospect who has too many options to choose from.) Is a landing page right for my product/service? A landing page will work to generate new leads and new sales for most industries. Even if you have no physical products to sell, a landing page is great to generate leads for your service business. What’s the conversion rates your previous clients have experienced? My conversion rates, based on the info that I get from past clients, usually falls within 2-7%. The average seems to be 3-4% for specialty niche items, closer to 5-7% when the customer doesn't have to pay any money up front (Sometimes a 30 day trial or free subscription). When I've re-written existing copy it increases conversion 3-4% Have you written about a product/service similar to mine before? I have written tons about products and services for various industries I’m intimately familiar with (i.e. real estate, weight loss, internet marketing, credit repair, etc). I have also written about products and services that I have never even heard of before. My research skills are phenomenal.
